Brendon Boyd Urie (born April 12, 1987) is an American singer-songwriter, musician, guitarist, and pianist, best known as the lead vocalist of Panic! At the Disco, of which he is the sole remaining original member. He also plays drums, bass guitar, accordion, organ, cello, violin, and trumpet. Things seemed a little fishy -- I mean, people don't just back out of playing Musikfest. So rumors started that the band may be breaking up.
Though the band isn't 'breaking up,' per se, the rumors of a Panic panic were confirmed in two blog posts on their Web site Monday. In the first, guitarist Ryan Ross and bassist Jon Walker addressed their fans (in third person), verifying their removal from PATD and promoting a vague, new musical project.
The band's remaining members, singer Brendon Urie and drummer Spencer Smith, followed up in a later post the same day, confirming the cordial split, showing immense respect for Ross and Walker.

They continued, saying their downsized Panic is 'alive and very, very well,' mentioning new music and anticipating the upcoming tour with Blink-182 and No Doubt. While Wikipedia certainly has a lot of possible fillers, there is currently no confirmed word on who will serve as replacements for the tour.
While continuing on despite members leaving is certainly honorable, I really must ask why Urie and Smith intend on keeping the name 'Panic At the Disco.' Maybe it's just me, but when half the band leaves (including one of the founders -- Ross) and will be replaced, that just seems like a whole new project.
